Directions to the Salty Dawg
We are docked
at the marina just behind Abners Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. We
are located just 45 to 60 minutes from the Baltimore and Washington metro
areas and about 25 minutes south of Annapolis. The local Subway and The Fast
Stop convenience store, both located next to the marina can provide you with
lunch, snacks, and any other items you may need (or forgotten) for your day
on the water. Afterwards, enjoy
some nice steamed crabs and beer at Abners Restaurant or wonderful Italian
and seafood and the neighboring Vics Italia restaurant.

Baltimore Area:
Take I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) to Rt. 97 south to Annapolis (Rt. 50 east). Take first exit
(exit 22), Rt. 665 Rt. 2 exit (approx. 1 mile) - make right onto Rt. 2
(Solomons Island Rd) and continue to traffic circle - take circle ¾ way
around and continue on Rt. 2 to 2nd traffic light. Make left at traffic light
onto Rt. 260 and follow to end into Chesapeake Beach.
Make right at light onto Rt. 261 and as soon as you cross over the small
bridge, make a right at the stop light. Make a right into the far end parking
area of Abners and the group of charter boats can be found behind the
restaurant. Salty Dawg is located just to the left of the restaurant. Any trouble, just give us a call at (443)

Washington Area:
Take I-495/95 (Capitol Beltway) to Rt. 4 east. Follow Rt. 4 to left onto Rt.
260 east and follow to end into Chesapeake
Beach. Make right at
light onto Rt. 261 and as soon as you cross over the small bridge, make a
right at the stop light. Make a right into the far end parking area of Abners
and the group of charter boats can be found behind the restaurant. Salty Dawg

will be happy to assist you. There are just a few places to stay in the area
of Chesapeake Beach, including a new hotel at the
Rod n’ Reel in town. We can take care
of reserving a room for you at a discount provided to charter captains. Herrington Harbor Inn is located
approximately 5 minutes from the marina in North Beach. The phone number is
(410) 741-5100. Pirates Cove is located approximately 10 minutes north of
Chesapeake Beach in Galesville and can be reached at (410) 867-2300. Other
hotels are available in nearby Prince Frederick (approximately 20 minutes
south of Chesapeake Beach), including a Holiday Inn Express.
